  If 90% of A = 30% of B and B is x% of A then the value of x is (a) 800 (b) 300   (c) 700 (d) 400 SOLUTION : In such question 90 % of A = 30 % of B cancel % sign both the sides 90 * A = 30 * B       Therefore Take, A = 30 B = 90 As per question B = x% of A Putting the value of A and B in above equation 90 = x% of 30 x %= 90/30 x/100 = 90/30 X=90/30*100 = 300 % option (b) SOLUTION 2: In such question 90 % of A = 30 % of B Simply solve the equation and bring it to the form of B is x% of A B = 90/30 of A B = 3 of A, therefore to convert fraction or integer into % multiply it by 100 , B = 3* 100 * A B = 300% of A option (b)
